Switzerland is represented by six delegates and two deputies (four members of the National Council and four members of the Council of States). Delegates are distributed among the three General committees according to their special interests, while at the same time ensuring a balanced representation on the committees (minimum two members of parliament per commitee).
The Swiss delegation meets when parliament is sitting, to carry out preparatory work or provide information. The OSCE Section of the FDFA is also invited to these meetings. The Swiss delegation traditionally exchanges points of view with the Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs at a meeting organised by the OSCE Section of the DFAE, normally in spring (March session).
