During open day at the Parliament Building, visitors are free to visit both parliamentary chambers, the Domed Hall and the lobby. Staff from the visitors' service will be available to answer questions and, if you register in advance, will take you on a guided tour on the topic of Art and Politics. Alternatively, you can download the 'Audio Tour of the Federal Palace' app to your smartphone and explore the building on your own.  A special feature of the day is the opportunity to see what happens when AI is given the task of updating the large paintings in the Parliament Building to reflect the present, or of making figures fly.

Security: Persons over the age of 16 and children under the age of 16 not accompanied by an adult will be subject to an identity check and must present official ID to security staff.

Exhibition: Art and Artificial Intelligence (AI)​
AI can accomplish amazing things. The arched windows in the Dome Hall, the People's Assembly in the Council of States chamber and the frescoes in the lobby are being updated with the help of AI to reflect the present. And in the National Council chamber, AI is animating the Angel of Peace in the Cradle of the Swiss Confederation painting.
