Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein maintain strong and friendly relations. There is an extensive network of treaties between the two countries, and Switzerland has been representing the interests of the Principality abroad since 1919. The excellent neighbourly relations are marked by pragmatic cooperation, strong economic interdependence and a steady flow of visitors. This meeting has helped strengthen the many links between the two countries and address current issues where increased cooperation is needed.

In addition to the two parliamentary presidents, Vice-President of the Landtag, Gunilla Marxer-Kranz, Ambassador Doris Frick and Landtag Secretary Josef Hilti also took part in the meeting on the Liechtenstein side, and Mr Stahl’s wife Sabine Stahl and Nina Wirth from Parliamentary Services on the Swiss side.
