Search tips

Here you’ll find a few tips on how to improve the results of your free text search.

GENERAL

Search items can be combined with one or more operators
Search items can be written either upper or lower case, but operators must be written upper case
If you enter several search items, you will get results in which all of these words appear

Operator	Description	Example
AND	Returns results that contain all search items.	Parliament AND Bern
NOT	Returns results that do not contain the search items following the operator NOT.	Parliament NOT Bern
OR	Returns results that contain one or more of the search items.	Parliament OR Bern
Phrase	Returns results that contain the exact phrase. Two or more words must be in double inverted commas.	"Internet of Things"
Wildcard*	Returns results that may only contain part of a single word.	Parl* returns: Parliament, parliamentary, etc.
