​One member from each parliamentary group sits on the sub-committee. The Judiciary Committee president attends the meetings of the sub-committee in an advisory capacity.

Assigned tasks

  • Review all applications for judges’ positions, for positions on the oversight body for the Office of the Attorney General and for the positions of Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General.
  • Select persons invited to attend Judiciary Committee hearings; committee members, however, have the right to request further hearings if they do not agree with the sub-committee’s selection.
  • Advertise vacant positions: the Judiciary Committee decides which positions are to be advertised and the sub-committee or its president decides on the advertisement text.
