The legal basis for the Swiss parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE is contained in the Federal Assembly Ordinance on international relations of the Parliament (ORInt) (RS 171.117).
Working methods of the delegation
Switzerland is represented by six delegates and two deputies (four members of the National Council and four members of the Council of States). Delegates are distributed among the three General committees according to their special interests, while at the same time ensuring a balanced representation on the committees (minimum two members of parliament per committee).
The Swiss delegation meets three or four time per year, to carry out preparatory work or provide information. The FDFA is also invited to these meetings.
