The Swiss delegation, led by the president of the National Council and composed of National Council members Roger Nordmann (SP, VD), Nik Gugger (EVP, ZH) and Yves Nidegger (SVP, GE), as well as the Swiss ambassador to Ukraine, Claude Wild, will be received at the seat of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada Building. It will meet with Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk and members of parliament to learn more about the situation in Ukraine. Ms Kälin is expected to address the members of the Ukrainian parliament. The delegation is also expected to be able to visit the liberated towns of Bucha and Irpin.

former National Council president Andreas Aebi (SVP, BE) visited the Stanytsia Luhanska entry–exit crossing point in the Donbass region and represented the Swiss government at the summit of the Crimea Platform in Kyiv.
Switzerland and Ukraine have maintained diplomatic relations since Ukraine's independence in December 1991. Switzerland supports the reform process in Ukraine and the search for a peaceful solution to the war with Russia. The two countries exchange views in the framework of a permanent dialogue on ways of promoting stability and prosperity in Ukraine through technical cooperation, peace policy, economic cooperation and humanitarian aid.
