Speaker of the Dáil Éireann to visit Bern during the spring session

The president of the National Council, Maja Riniker (FDP, AG), will receive her Irish counterpart, Verona Murphy, on 17 March at the Parliament Building in Bern. The official visit will take place on Saint Patrick's Day, which is celebrated by Irish people around the world.

Switzerland and Ireland enjoy close relations. The meeting between the two parliamentary presidents will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly at parliamentary level.
