​The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Autumn Meeting in Geneva will live-streamed on the conference website (http://oscepa2014.ch/?lang=en) and on the homepage of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly http://www.oscepa.org/meetings/autumn-meetings/2014-geneva.

​More than 200 parliamentarians from 53 countries will gather for the event, which is open to accredited members of the media. Held under the theme “New Security Challenges: The Role of Parliaments,” the Meeting is expected to include parliamentary debate on topics including: the conflict in Ukraine, the threat of extremism in the Middle East and beyond, the global arms trade, and the protection of minority and migrants’ rights.

The Meeting will feature addresses by:

  1. Didier Burkhalter, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Swiss Foreign Minister (Opening session – October 3)
  2. Hannes Germann, Speaker of the Council of States of Switzerland (Opening Session – October 3)
  3. Ilkka Kanerva, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (Opening Session – October 3)
  4. Andreas Aebi, Head of the Swiss Delegation to the OSCE PA (Mediterranean Forum – October 3)
  5. Astrid Thors, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (Session One – October 3)
  6. Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (Session Three – October 5)
  7. Theodor Winkler, Director of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (Session Two – October 4)
