The OECD’s global parliamentary network provides parliamentarians from member states with a platform to exchange views on policy issues relating to the economy, finance, education, science, society, the environment and development.
On Thursday, 30 June, and Friday, 1 July, a conference on ‘Building a secure and inclusive digital future in a post-COVID world’ will be held in Riga at the invitation of the Latvian Parliament. Members of Parliament from around 30 countries will discuss the challenges of digital transformation in democratic processes, and exchange views with experts from the OECD on issues of governance in the digital age, cyber security and combating digital mis- and disinformation.
The PD-OECD will be represented at the event by its president, Councillor of States Ruedi Noser (FDP, ZH) and its vice-president, National Councillor Prisca Birrer-Heimo (SP, LU).
