Parliament will be opening its doors to visitors on 15 April 2023 and offering a special programme especially for younger guests.

Programme

Saturday, 15 April 2023, 9am – 5pm (Admission until 4pm), free admission.

ID/Passport required for over 16s.

If there are a lot of visitors, there may be longer waiting times at security. The building can be accessed via the main and visitors’ entrances.

Schwiizergoofe concert
The Schwiizergoofe will be putting on a show at the Parliament Building and giving the audience a chance to dance and sing along at two 30-minute shows! National Council president Martin Candinas will be there to greet the children.
Start at 11am and 1pm in the Domed Hall

Magic in the Council of States chamber
A magician will amaze audiences with his tricks!
Shows start at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm

Squash bar at Café Vallotton
Children receive a free glass of squash at the bar in the former newspaper room.

Other attractions
A clown show, the chance to design a political button, balloons and more await you and your children at the Parliament Building.

Explore the Parliament Building
Visitors can wander around the lobby, the Domed Hall and the National Council chamber on their own. Our guides will be happy to tell you about the history and architecture of the building.
