At the meeting of the OECD Global Parliamentary Network in Paris from 4 to 5 April, the Standing Parliamentary Delegation for Participation in OECD Activities will be represented by its president, Council of States member Ruedi Noser (FDP/ZH), its vice president, National Council member Prisca Birrer-Heimo (SP/LU), and Council of States member Erich Ettlin (Die Mitte/OW).

The spring meeting of the OECD Global Parliamentary Network will be held in Paris from 4 to 5 April on the theme 'Optimising the strength and quality of recovery from COVID-19 while responding to the economic and social impacts of the war in Ukraine'. The event will provide an opportunity for parliamentarians to exchange views on a wide range of current issues, from the global economic outlook to the challenges faced by energy markets and efforts to combat misinformation.

In addition, OECD experts will report on the Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches, an initiative launched in February 2023 to optimise global efforts in emissions reduction through data sharing, mutual learning and dialogue.

Parliamentarians will also have an opportunity to discuss their own country's economy with an OECD economist working on their country.

In the framework of the Parliamentary Group on Integrity and Transparency, participants will address the issue of political integrity of elected officials and measures to build resilience against undue foreign interference.

On the sidelines of the Parliamentary Network meeting, the delegation will hold bilateral talks with representatives of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration on technical issues relating to the future implementation of the OECD minimum tax rate.
