On 23-24 November 2016 in Strasbourg, under the joint chairmanship of MEP Jørn Dohrmann (EKR, Denmark) and National Councillor Thomas Aeschi (SVP/ZG), members of the EFTA/EU Delegation will meet members of the SINEEA Delegation of the European Parliament responsible for relations with Switzerland. The heads of the foreign affairs committees of the National Council and Council of States are also invited to attend the meeting.
The talks will focus on current challenges in relations between Switzerland and the EU, and in particular the implementation of immigration legislation. In view of the intensive negotiations ongoing between Switzerland and its European neighbours, it is vital to maintain an active dialogue at parliamentary level as well.

National Councillor Thomas Aeschi (SVP/ZG) was appointed president for the next two years. The delegation vice-president is Member of the Council of States Karin Keller-Sutter (FDP/SG).
The Swiss delegation for the 50th legislature comprises the following members:
• Thomas Aeschi, member of the National Council, President of the Delegation, SVP, Zug
